Mobile phones for students(,) should or should not (they) be banned at school?

Nowadays there is an increment in the percentage of teenagers using the cell phone in the school and this produce(produces) a bad performance in all the subjects. The reasons why this is happening is(are) that they will have dependence, distraction with games, bad use of a cell phone. When you see a student with his phone is because he have(has) a dependence with the pone, so they(he) then develops an addiction and the student will find the necessity to have the phone near to them(him). Students that have his(their) phone(phones) with him(them) every day make a distraction in the school. This distraction is caused by the games that the student(students) download to his(their) phone(phones) and they will play with his(them) phone all day, so that cause(causes) a distraction on the student when he is in the classroom and the student don’t (who won't) pay attention (to) what the teacher is saying. Finally the students don’t know the real function of a cell phone in the school. They think that (the) only function that has the phone (has) is play(playing) games and chat(chatting) all day with a lot of people. The real function (of a phone) is for(to) call someone in the family if there is an emergency, that is the real function but the students don’t use the cell phone for that. So in my opinion the use of cell phones in school should be banned because the students don’t provide a (make) good use (of it)(,) cause(causing) distraction and dependence.
